"How do I prepare for the blood test?"
There are five simple steps for you to follow when you’re preparing for your blood test.
Fast for 8-12 hours
Drinking water is fine. This allows for accurate cholesterol / glucose results.
Stay hydrated
Drink sufficient amounts of water, but please skip sugary drinks.
Avoid alcohol and heavy exercise
For at least 24 hours prior to your blood test appointment.
Delay your morning medications
Until after your blood draw (except for high blood pressure medication).
Bring your MyKad / IC
And arrive at least 10 minutes early for a smoother registration process.
What Our Blood Test Covers
Full Blood Count
These tests evaluate your red blood cells and hemoglobin to detect anemia, infections, or blood disorders:
Haemoglobin – Measures oxygen-carrying protein in red blood cells.
RBC (Red Blood Cells) – Total number of red blood cells in your blood.
HCT (Hematocrit) – Percentage of blood volume made up of RBCs.
MCV – Average size of red blood cells.
MCH – Average amount of hemoglobin in each red cell.
MCHC – Concentration of hemoglobin in red cells.
RDW – Variation in size of your red blood cells.
Total WBC (White Blood Cells) – Number of white blood cells.
Renal Profile
Checks kidney function and fluid/electrolyte balance:
Sodium / Potassium / Chloride – Essential electrolytes for nerves, muscles, and hydration.
Urea / Creatinine – Waste products filtered by kidneys; high levels = poor kidney function.
eGFR (CKD-EPI) – Estimates how well kidneys filter waste.
Calcium (Total & Corrected) – Important for bones, muscles, and nerves.
Phosphate / Uric Acid – Linked to bone health and gout risk.
Lipid Profile
Assesses cholesterol and fat levels in blood:
Total Cholesterol / HDL / LDL / Non-HDL – Measure good and bad cholesterol.

Total Chol/HDL Ratio – Risk indicator for heart disease.
Differential Count
Breakdown of white blood cell types to detect infections or immune issues:
Neutrophils / Lymphocytes / Monocytes / Eosinophils / Basophils (%, #) – Each plays a unique role in fighting infection or inflammation.
Platelet – Helps with blood clotting.
ESR – Inflammation marker in the body.
Microscopy
Looks at urine under a microscope for signs of infection or kidney issues:
RBC / WBC – Red/white blood cells in urine; may signal UTI or kidney problems.
Epithelial Cell / Mucus Threads / Bacteria / Yeast / Cast / Crystal / Others – Indicate infection, kidney stones, or other issues.
Urine FEME
Checks for multiple health markers through urine:
Appearance / Color / pH / Specific Gravity – Basic indicators of hydration and kidney health.
Glucose / Ketone / Protein / Bilirubin / Urobilinogen – Screen for diabetes, liver, or kidney issues.
Nitrite / Leucocytes – Infection markers (especially UTI).
Liver Function Test
Evaluates how well your liver is working:
Total Protein / Albumin / Globulin / A/G Ratio – Nutritional and liver health markers.
Bilirubin (Total, Direct, Indirect) – High levels may cause jaundice or indicate liver problems.
ALP / AST / ALT / Gamma GT – Enzymes that rise with liver damage.
Diabetic Panel
Screens for diabetes:
Fasting Glucose (Plasma) – Measures blood sugar after fasting; high levels may indicate prediabetes or diabetes.
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older. This special blood test rate is applicable only to Malaysian citizens (holders of Blue or Pink IC). Non-Malaysians are eligible to participate at a rate of RM50 per person.
- The special promotional rates apply exclusively to pre-registered customers. Walk-in registrations on the event day will be charged at RM50 per person. Please ensure that all personal details submitted during registration are accurate. Payments made are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- A confirmation message will be sent via WhatsApp 1–2 days prior to the event date to confirm your registration and appointment details.
- Optional upgrade packages are available at additional charges. Details regarding current promotions or package upgrades will be provided on the event day.
- All blood test results will be delivered in soft copy format via WhatsApp within 10 working days after the event. Participants are advised to ensure that their contact number provided during registration is accurate and active.
A professional dietitian consultation will be arranged online via Zoom meeting or phone call following the release of the blood test results.
